“Star children” is the nick-name given to autistic children. Literally meaning “Loneliness syndrome”, autism is classified as a kind of growth disorder due to the dysfunction of the nervous system and it is an extensive development disorder and is a mental illness that is characterized by an extensive development disorder, and a severe and broad damage of social mutual influence and communication skills and rigid behaviors, interests and activities.
Qinyuan Peizhi School Xiangtan City is currently the sole rehab training institution dedicated to the conduction of all-rounded intervention of the autistic children that was established in Xiangtan City. With an enrollment of 24 children and 17 teachers, the School has a total of 4 classrooms; however, due to the problems of fund operation, the faculty, and hardware and software equipment obviously fail to reach the requirements; based on the School’s concrete status, Xianggang Messer’s volunteer teams provide the School with one-to-one voluntary services and assistances.
It is learned that currently among the 24 children one child has basically been restored to normality, and in early spring next year, he will formally leave Qinyuan Peizhi School and begin his full-time school studies. “The blooming of one flower embraces the blooming of hundreds of flowers and truth affections yielded in rich fruits”, so it is hoped that the volunteers’ perseverance can also bring aids and supports to the healthy growths of other 23 children, and this is also the Company’s inheritance of social responsibilities.
